I got to design and build rockets with the Student Organization for Aerospace Research (SOAR). We first launched DinoSOAR in 2021. Then, we launched Osprey for the first time at Fire & Ice in Feb 2022.
Then a second time at the 2022 Spaceport America Cup in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The landing was a little dramatic this time around! See the video below and you’ll see that there was a structural failure in the nosecone.
